Features

Every wedge in the kiosk, in one place.

A self-order kiosk is not a list of checkboxes. But you came here for a list, so here’s the honest one — what we’ve built, what it does, and why we built it that way.

  • Customer experience
  • Merchant operations
  • Reliability
  • Intelligence (June + AI)
  • Platform + integrations

Customer experience

What the customer feels at the counter.

Thirty seconds from walk-up to “see you in a sec.” Photo-forward, calm, fast, fair.

  • Photo-forward menu grid

Big tiles, real photos, gentle category sidebar or top tabs — owner picks the layout. Sold-out items fade instead of disappearing.

  • Required modifiers come first

Sizes, milks, temperatures, special requests. The wizard never lets a customer get to the cart with an undermodified item.

  • Loyalty signup from the kiosk

Type a phone number. If you're a member, points attach. If you're not, the kiosk asks if you want to sign up in one tap.

  • Tips to staff, service charges to the business

Tips ride Square's tip field — they land in your staff pool. Mandatory service charges stay separate. The IRS distinction (Rev. Rul. 2012-18) handled correctly.

Merchant operations

Run the whole room from your phone.

Override anything. Push commands to any kiosk. Roll back a bad edit with one tap. Square stays your source of truth.

  • Override layer that survives sync

Raise a price at one kiosk. Rename an item. Hide a drink for the afternoon. Your Square catalog stays untouched — overrides live in their own table and re-apply on every menu pull.

  • Cross-kiosk command broadcast

Push pause, resume, reset payment, restart, reload menu, or a custom message to any subset of kiosks. Status lands back in under two seconds.

  • Order routing intelligence

Visual canvas to route tickets between bar, kitchen, and pickup. Prep-time learning trims promised wait times based on what's actually happening today.

  • Versioned menu history

Every override change snapshots to a restorable version. Bad Wednesday edit? Restore Tuesday at 4pm with a single click. The audit log shows who, what, when.

  • Per-shift override profiles

Morning prices, evening menu, holiday weekend. Save a bundle of overrides as a named profile and apply it in one tap.

Reliability

Quiet on a rough morning.

Most things break under load. We designed for the morning rush from day one.

  • Offline-safe ordering

Menu lives on the iPad. Orders queue with idempotency keys when the network blips. Reconnect flushes them through Square in order, no duplicates.

  • Real-time sold-out sync

Mark a drink sold-out anywhere — Square dashboard, the iPad admin, the web admin — and it disappears from every kiosk in the room within a second.

  • Live kiosk health monitor

Heartbeat every five seconds with battery, network, last order, current screen. The web admin shows a live mirror so you can see what your customers see.

Intelligence (June + AI)

Quiet AI in the right spots.

Not a chatbot bolted on. Specific surfaces where machine help genuinely beats clicking around.

  • June — your operator assistant

Ask plain-English questions about your sales, your menu, your team. June reads live merchant context and answers with citations to the exact pages and orders.

  • Catalog advisor

Zero-sale items, top sellers, high-price low-velocity outliers. June surfaces what to 86, what to push, what to reprice, with the data behind every call.

  • AI photo pipeline

Snap an iPhone photo of a drink. Claude vision describes it. gpt-image-1 or Recraft renders a brand-styled hero. You approve. The kiosk swaps the override.

  • Voiced kitchen tickets

Pick a tone — terse, warm, regional, restaurant formal. Claude rewrites your ticket templates in that voice while preserving every renderer variable. One-click revert.

  • Auto-generated marketing

Instagram captions, email subject lines, SMS one-liners — generated from your top sellers and your brand voice. Drafts only; you ship.

Platform + integrations

Open where it matters.

Square is the source of truth. We give you a documented public API, signed webhooks, and per-table audit. Build on top.

  • Public REST API + signed webhooks

Documented OpenAPI spec at /docs. Scope-gated keys (orders.read, menu.write, commands.push). HMAC-signed webhook delivery with exponential backoff retry.

  • 5-role RBAC

Owner, manager, cashier, auditor, marketing. Granular per-section access. Invite, change, revoke — every action audit-logged.

  • Append-only audit log

Every admin mutation writes a before/after diff to an immutable log. Filter by user, table, date. Every override traceable to a person.

  • Star printer support

Star TSP143IV out of the box. Sticky kitchen labels with the customer's name in huge bold type. Allergy blocks inverted. Receipt printers wire up in seconds.

Real merchant, real shifts

Cafe Meria runs Order June every day.

Order June is built by the same person who runs Cafe Meria, on the same iPads that take orders during the breakfast rush. Every feature on this page exists because something on the floor needed it. The kiosk that’s behind our own counter is the kiosk you’ll ship next week.

See it in your cafe.

Bring your Square account and an iPad. Thirty seconds to pair, thirty seconds to sync. Walk through the customer flow, the admin flow, the override layer — all live on real hardware.
